We earned the Blue Seal of the Clean Production Agreement. This honor was awarded by the Agency of Sustainability and Climate Change (ASCC) for our commitment to a circular economy. We managed to recover 41% of general waste aboard our boats!

We took one great step in our 2025 Sustainability Strategy when the Agency of Sustainability and Climate Change awarded us the Blue Seal of the Clean Production Agreement that certifies the “Sustainable Management of Solid General Waste on Industrial Fishing Boats.” This honor is awarded to companies that are able to recover at least 10% of general waste generated on boats.

According to Allan Carrasco, our Assistant Sustainability and Communications Manager, “Orizon is taking specific environmental actions under our sustainability strategy because it understands the actual challenges of Chile and the world. That is why we are very proud to have received the CPA certificate, which is a reflection of our commitment to leading sustainable nutrition from the sea with a love for what we do, caring for the ocean and having positive impacts on our surroundings.” We can also highlight that our company amply surpassed the ASCC goal by recovering 41% of general waste generated on board our boats.

Please note, moreover, that this agreement also aims to drive a cultural change in fishing workers by ongoing training in environmental matters that will help increase recycling, waste recovery and other environmental indicators, which will strengthen even more our relationship with artisanal and industrial fishing.
