Chile holds 66% of the world quota for Jack Mackerel, and Orizon Seafood processes close to 20.4% of that quota. It is the leading producer in Chile and the world.
Chilean Jack Mackerel
Species: Trachurus murphyi
This is a pelagic fish that is a member of the Carangidae family. It is found in the waters of the southeast Pacific Ocean, along the coast of Chile.
Our Jack Mackerel has been certified by Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), guaranteeing responsible fishing practices that promote the health of fish populations and maintenance of marine ecosystems.
King Crab
Species: Lithodes santolla
The King Crab lives in the cold waters of the Antarctic Ocean and is known for its robust size and spiky shell.
The capture and landing of King Crabs are strictly controlled under rigorous environmental standards that support the policies on the sustainability and protection of the species.
Chilean Seabass
Species: Dissostichus eleginoides
This is a cold-water fish that lives in the depths of the Southern Pacific Ocean and in some parts of the South Atlantic Ocean. It is known for its considerable size and high-quality meat.
Our seabass is part of the AOBAC, a Chilean seabass trade association in Magellan that is permanently committed to caring for the environment and the sustainability of this resource in the long term.
Atlantic Salmon
Species: Salmo salar
This is an anadromous fish that migrates long distances from fresh water to salt water during its life cycle. It is found in the Atlantic Ocean and is recognized by its silver scale in the ocean.
Australis Hake
Species: Merluccius australis
The Australis Hake lives in the cold waters of the South Pacific Ocean, especially along the coast of Chile.
It is characterized by a long silvery body, prominent side strip and quite large lower jaw.
