Fishmeal

We produce fish meal from jack mackerel, chub mackerel, sardines and anchovies and create different blends that provide a wide range of possibilities, always rich in proteins, omega-3 and essential amino acids.

Fishmeal is an essential source of food used for animal nutrition in breeding, mainly in the aquafarming, pork, poultry and pet food industries.

FIFO=0

Orizon produces fishmeal directly and indirectly from trimmed fish and from the by-products of fish intended for human consumption.

For that reason, our fishmeal is produced Fish In-Fish Out (FIFO=0), making it very competitive and necessary for sustainability certification like ASC and other certifications.

Carbon Footprint

The carbon footprint is an indicator that it is becoming a driver in animal nutrition.

Our fishmeal has a low carbon footprint: our direct fishmeal footprint is below 800 kg of CO2eq/Ton and our trimmed fishmeal footprint is below 200 Kg of CO2eq/Ton.

Fish oil

We produce fish oil from jack mackerel, chub mackerel, sardines and anchovies, all of which have a high concentration of EPA + DHA.

We produce fish oil for aquafarming, animal nutrition and human consumption.

Our oil contains 21% – 24% EPA+DHA

Omega-3 benefits:
Omega-3 is a polyunsaturated fatty acid that is known for its anti-inflammatory effect and for its protection against cardiovascular disease, among other benefits.

UTNA (Animal Nutrition Technical Unit)

Our commitment to sustainable nutrition from the sea has also led us to an ongoing search to innovate in food products optimal for animals.

Our Animal Nutrition Technical Unit (abbreviated as UTNA in Spanish) is dedicated to studying and developing high-quality nutritional food for the industries with which we work. We provide assistance of excellence, attend to the needs and answer the nutritional questions of our customers to give them the right smart solutions.

Our UTNA team is continually trained in new trends, applications and elements that appear in the nutrition setting. The talent and experience of our multidisciplinary group of employees, comprised of veterinarians, biochemists, business engineers and experts in the area, are what enable Orizon to lead the generation of the best animal food.
